M104 - The Sombrero Galaxy
M104 The Sombrero Galaxy lies about 65 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo just to the North of the constellation Corvus.
This image was taken on 24 March 2011 through a 9.25” Celestron SCT using a modified Canon 40D camera with a CLS light pollution filter. The exposure was 6 x 10 minutes, = total exposure time of 1 hour at ISO 800. The sub exposures were stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and processed in Photoshop CS2.
